Reaching the ethnic populations of NY City
Stretching into three states, the greater NY metro region is the third largest urban area in the world. Its population surpasses 20 million, which means this mission field is larger than most countries of the world.
Great Challenge
In 2005, nearly 170 languages were spoken in the city and 36 percent of its population was born outside the United States. To reach these foreign language speakers will take a great missionary effort.
Great Team Answer to Prayer
The Lord of the Harvest is calling men and women of God from around the world to reach their people here in NYC. As Intercultural Missionaries to NYC, we are privileged to partner with ethnic pastors and churches in evangelism and church planting efforts.
Pastor Yai is our Ivory Coast pastor working as a missionary in New York City. Since coming to the US in 2002, he has opened new church plantings in Manhattan, NY; Newark, NJ; Bridgeport, CT; and Atlanta, GA. God has given Pastor Yai favor and nearly 300 French-speaking African believers call Family of Christ AG their church home.
Thanks to the New York District AG, Pastor Yai has received AG credentials and church affiliation.
